Dr. Longbotham will talk about how analytics are used in E-business based on his work at Amazon.com, Microsoft (Bing and other web properties) and Booking.com. He will discuss the use of analytics to meet business objectives and solve website problems. In addition he will discuss difficulties analysts currently face and suggest some research topics in this area.
This talk will be of interest to anyone interested in statistics, data mining, computer science or ebusiness. It will be entirely in English and the slides will be available for attendees after the lecture.

Dr. Longbotham , Ph.D. in Statistics, Florida State University. Visiting Professor in University of California, Riverside. Experienced statistician and process improvement expert.
