Our laboratory has exchanges and cooperation on laboratory construction, scientific researches and talent training with more 30 colleges, universities and research institutions, such as Arkansas State University, University of California-Berkeley, University of Michigan, Mississippi State University, University Hashe Belgium, Ecoles Centrales, Transportation and Logistics College of Paris, University of Southampton, Dresden University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, University of Singapore, Soochow University, Japan’s Osaka Sangyo University.
In the past 3 years, our laboratoryhas invited 52 man-time foreign visitors (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan). 17 man-time of our staffs have been invited to visit foreign institutions. We also selected 9 teacher to get further educations. We have received more than 30 man-time experts from home and abroad, such as represents of businesses from Hong Kong, party secretary of Shanghai Jiaotong University, vice-president of Dalian Jiaotong University and delegation from University of Science and Technology in Pakistan.
Our laboratory has selected more than 40 man-time teachers to visit and learn from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Inner Mongolia University, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Central South University, Dalian Jiaotong University, Beijing University of Technology, Beijing Jiaotong University and Lanzhou Jiaotong University.
We also invited the experts, who were from Deakin University in Melbourne Australia, Duke University, University of Waterloo, Hosei University of Japan, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Tongji University and Shanghai Jiaotong University, to communicate with us and give lectures. Our laboratory has held more than 90 high level academic lectures, which could broaden our teachers’ and students’ horizons and active the academic atmosphere.
In the past 3 years, the laboratory has successfully held 4 ICTE (International Conference of Transportation Engineering), 3 ICLEM (International Conference on Logistics Engineering and Management), 21th Cross Straits Symposium on Traffic, Integrated Intelligent Transportation and Urban Transit Summit, which made us an important communication platform in the integrated transportation and urban transit field.
The laboratory also developments all kinds of professional talent training among transportation and logistics industry and improves the quality of talents in integrated transportation and urban transit field. In the past 3 years, we had sent more 6000 administrative officers and special technicians among dispatching and operation of high-speed railway, managements of urban traffic, traffic security, managements of logistics and so on. We have become an important base to development individuals in our country’s transportation and logistics field, especially the field of high-speed railway managements.
